Many lenders, brokers, investors and credit companies will offer you the sun and the moon up front. Finding the right resource takes some hunting. Good news: we've done that for you (see roster below).
Some
facts to consider:
Interest rates continue to be at all-time lows and lenders have picked
all the "low hanging fruit" with massive amounts of refinancing activity.
Now's the time to act.
There are MANY ways to get financing and qualified, regardless of your credit situation. However, you will pay (one way or another) extra if you're not in great shape financially. Prepare yourself for some extra paperwork, difficult discussions and perhaps some embarrassment. Bottom line, if your lender is making you feel lowly, find another one pronto.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Balloon payments, interest-only notes, 2nd and 3rd-lien financing vehicles are all geared to help you lower payments and get into a loan. Getting out or facing up to what could become a massive amount of additional expense later is no FUN. Don't start with your head in the sand, make your lender explain in simple terms the financing system they're recommending.
